Border Patrol Ministry Donation Packing
ABC is once again to collecting items that will be sent to our National Guard troops stationed at Camp Mabry. These troops are men and women deployed to the Texas border. We are collecting snacks, toiletry items, white socks, small games, and small exercise equipment. Items will be collected June 15th, 22nd, and 29th and then packed and shipped to Camp Mabry on Monday, July 7th at 10am in the Café. Labeled bins will be provided for your donations around the church. We will also have tracts/witness pamphlets available for you to include a personal note to our soldiers.
Suggested Items
- Quick Protein
- Non-perishable beef jerky or beef summer sausage, labeled USDA beef
- Snacks
- Chips, pretzels, nuts, popcorn, snack cakes, cheese crackers, cookies, and nutella
- Candy and Gum
- Hard candy preferred, sugar-free gum (NO chocolate, it will melt)
- Toiletries
- Toothbrush, toothpaste, dental floss, deoderant, cotton swabs, moisturizing lotion, shaving cream, disposable razors, shampoo, individually packaged tissues
- Personal Care
- Individually packaged flushable wipes, eye drops, lip balm, sunscreen, lotion, aspirin and other pain relievers, feminine hygiene products
- Reading Material
- Paperback books, magazines, comic books
- Games
- Playing cards, board games, puzzles, sudoku, frisbees, hacky sacks, crossword puzzles, footballs, basketballs, soccer balls (foam balls)
- Exercise Equipment
- Stretch bands, resistance bands, light weights, and hand exercise medicine balls
- Apparel
- White 100% cotton socks
- Writing Material
- Notepaper, envelopes, pens, pencils, and stamps
PROHIBITED Items
- Chocolate
- Batteries (lithium-ion or otherwise)
